Creating my card toppers

Dear friends
Being typically English, I have to comment first on this glorious sunshine that we are all (hopefully) enjoying - long may it last although I'm sure my garden thinks otherwise!

As you probably know by now, my main hobby is card making, and there is nothing I enjoy more than creating my own toppers and backing papers using Serif's CraftArtist Pro.
I still have a lot to learn about how to use all the tools on CAP but I was rather pleased with the two toppers below.
Both very different from each other as you can see but I do like variety lol

This mystical themed topper was created in Craft Artist Pro using . . . .
The Lily Pond digikit from Oscraps designed by Lynne Anzelc
and some extra embellishments from an assortment of other digikits.

This vintage themed topper was also produced in Craft Artist Pro using . . .
a digikit called Vintage Florals
which I have had for so long that I am not sure if it's from daisy Trail or not, sorry guys.

Thanks for stopping by though

My first challenges this year!

Dear friends,
I hope you are enjoying the sunshine today wherever you are, it's a beautiful day here on the southeast coast of Kent and I've already planted 5 new shrubs this morning!!!

I have to be honest and say that this is not the first challenge I have ever entered, but having said that this is only the 2nd or 3rd time I've participated in blog challenges, so here goes lol!

I'm entering this card into the
It's a 6" square scalloped card created by . . . .

Layering purple mirror card which has been covered with white 'spider web mesh' with,
a layer of white card embossed using a Couture Creations folder called 'Tied Together' and inked around the edges with a purple ink pad from Papermania.

The main image is from the Beautiful Birdcages cd rom by Magik Graphics (formerly Jems Designs)
and the flowers are a combination of some that I have made myself with a couple of pink shop bought roses.
A few gems and mauve organdie ribbon from stock et voila!

Getting to grips with this blogging lark!

Dear friends,
Well now, here I am again, having another go at this blogging lark!  Now that I have a little bit more time on my hands I am hoping to post here more regularly, have a go at blog hopping, take part in some challenges and generally try and master Google!

So I thought I would start by posting a picture of a commissioned wedding card that I have made quite recently. It's in the bookatrix style which I have to say is one of my favourites mainly because it is unusual and for me, has the wow factor lol. I don't see so many around these days which is a shame, but I hope you like it.
